How to Delete Your e-PetVet Account
You can request deletion of your account and associated data through the following methods:
Method 1: Delete Account Through the App (Recommended)
The easiest way to request account deletion is directly through the e-PetVet mobile app:
- Open the e-PetVet app on your Android or iOS device
- Log in to your account using your registered phone number and OTP
- Navigate to Profile or Settings section
- Scroll down to find the "Delete Account" or "Request Account Deletion" option
- Tap on the deletion option and confirm your request
- You will receive a confirmation message that your deletion request has been submitted
- Your account will be marked for deletion and all data will be permanently deleted within 90 days
Method 2: Request Deletion via Email
If you are unable to access the app, you can request account deletion by sending an email:
- Send an email to tech.gurunath@gmail.com
- Include the following information in your email:
- Subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
- Your registered phone number
- Your full name as registered in the app
- A clear statement requesting account deletion
- We will verify your identity and process your deletion request
- You will receive a confirmation email within 5-7 business days
What Data Will Be Deleted?
When you request account deletion, the following data will be permanently deleted:
- Account Information: Your name, phone number, email address (if provided), user type, and role
- Profile Information: Profile photo, address details, type of farming, education, experience, government ID, and qualification documents
- Animal Records: All registered animals, animal photos, health records, medical history, and treatment records
- Medical Records: All prescriptions, treatment records, and Artificial Insemination (AI) records
- Appointment Data: All past and upcoming appointment bookings
- Marketplace Listings: All animal sale listings you have created
- User Content: Comments, reviews, and inquiries you have posted
- Location Data: Any stored location information
- Device Tokens: Push notification tokens
What Data May Be Retained?
In certain circumstances, we may retain some data for legal or operational purposes:
- Legal Requirements: We may retain certain information if required by law, court order, or to comply with legal obligations
- Anonymized Analytics: Aggregated, anonymized data that cannot identify you personally may be retained for analytics and service improvement
- Fraud Prevention: Information related to fraudulent activity or security threats may be retained for security purposes
Data Retention Period
Important: After you request account deletion, your account will be marked for deletion immediately. However, your data will be permanently deleted within 90 days from the date of your deletion request.
During this 90-day period:
- Your account will be deactivated and you will not be able to log in
- Your data will be inaccessible to you and other users
- After 90 days, all your data will be permanently and irreversibly deleted
What Happens After Account Deletion?
- You will no longer be able to log in to your account
- All your data will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered
- You will stop receiving push notifications
- Your animal listings will be removed from the marketplace
- You will need to create a new account if you wish to use e-PetVet services again in the future
Partial Data Deletion
Currently, e-PetVet does not support partial data deletion (deleting specific data without deleting the entire account). If you wish to remove specific information, you can:
- Edit your profile information through the app settings
- Delete individual animal records through the app
- Remove animal listings from the marketplace
